Michael C. Hutchison
DDS, AAACD
As a cosmetic dentist with more than twenty-nine years of experience, Dr. Michael Hutchison quickly reached the pinnacle of his career by becoming an accredited member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) in April 2001, as one of only 250 members worldwide.
Dr. Hutchison practices dentistry based on one primary goal: to provide excellence in dental services and overall care to his patients. Dr. Hutchison graduated from Loyola University’s Dental School where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1987. Upon completion of dental school he practiced in LaGrange, Illinois for 10 years.
Moving to the Traverse City area with his family in 1997, he quickly established a thriving dental practice that has progressed into one of the area’s most quality-driven practices for both general and cosmetic dentistry in the Northern Michigan region and beyond. Dr. Hutchison focuses on creating a team-approach with each patient to deliver the best overall care possible. Outside of serving as one of the top family and cosmetic dentists in Traverse City, Dr. Hutchison enjoys spending time with his family, boating, playing golf and using computers. His dental interests focus on cosmetic dentistry, implants, pain management (TMJ), and sleep disorders.
Hayley R. Popp
DDS, MS
Dr. Hayley Popp grew up in Harrison Township, MI and began her education at Michigan State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Package Engineering with a specialization in Health Promotions in 2014. She worked as a Packaging Engineer at Materne North America in Traverse City for two years before deciding to return to school. Dr. Popp received a Master of Science in Basic Medical Sciences from Wayne State University in 2018 before going on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Michigan in 2022. She is passionate about organized dentistry and a proud member of the Michigan Dental Association, Michigan Academy of General Dentistry, and Delta Sigma Delta, just to name a few. Dr. Popp also enjoys volunteering in the community and providing dentistry to underserved populations. In her free time, she enjoys reading while surrounded by her four cats, spending time outdoors with her family, and cheering on the Michigan State Spartans.

I have been working at Associates in Family Dentistry since 1999. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 1997 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Shortly thereafter I discovered my love for dentistry! I thoroughly enjoy working in this industry and am proud to say I work at Associates in Family Dentistry.
I love warm weather and, with living in Northern Michigan, it is known that summertime is my absolute favorite time of year. I enjoy fishing on many of the beautiful lakes with my husband and children. I also like playing sports and most any game in general.

Graduating from Ferris State University in Spring 2020 with my degree in Dental Hygiene, I pursued my dental career in the Traverse City area where I was raised. I believe that staying up to date with new practices and education in dentistry is of the utmost importance to providing great standard of care! I am proud to be a member of the Associates in Family Dentistry team.
Aside from dentistry, my priority is my husband and daughter; we enjoy skiing, eating, and traveling! I spend most of my time with them as they are the biggest part of my life.

Born and raised in Traverse City Michigan, I was excited to move back to my hometown after graduating from Ferris State University with a degree in Dental Hygiene and a Bachelor of Allied Health Sciences. Shortly after graduating, I joined the amazing team at Associates in Family Dentistry! I am passionate about oral health and providing excellent oral hygiene care. In addition, I enjoy all the Great Lakes have to offer, spending quality time with family and friends, and hiking with my dog.

I joined the team at Associates in Family Dentistry in July 2022. I am a native of Northern Michigan and graduated from the dental assisting program through NMC in 2007. I then passed the state boards for my license as a Registered Dental Assistant. I can honestly say that I still have the same passion and love for dentistry as the day I started. I am the proud mother of one son. In my spare time you can find me outside enjoying nature, and spending time with my friends, family, & many fur babies.

I have been with Associates in Family Dentistry since February 2024 but have been in the dental field since 2018. I have experience in both front office and clinical positions and have always felt most at home in dentistry.
I’m a Traverse City native and when I’m not working, I am an avid runner and love adventuring outdoors with my dog in all seasons.

I was born and raised here in beautiful Traverse City. I started working at Associates in Family Dentistry June 2024, and I can say, it truly feels like family. My passion for helping people, which starts with a smile, is what drew me to the front desk.
When I’m not working, I am spending time with my partner of eleven years and our three kids. I enjoy summers at the lakes, but also staying in and playing board games. I love animals of all kinds and would love to one day live on a farm.

Growing up, my parents taught my siblings and I the importance of taking care of our teeth. Now as a patient coordinator (almost 29 years cavity free!), I strive to help educate our patients of that same importance. I started my dental career in 2020 and found my place at Associates in Family Dentistry in 2023. I feel very fortunate and excited to continue learning about dentistry and getting to know our patients better!
In my free time, you will find me with my two kids. Being a native to Traverse City, I love being able to raise them in such a beautiful area. We enjoy riding bikes, digging in the dirt, and doing many arts and crafts together.
